The Shelley Roberts Award The requirements for nomination are as follows: 1) A current member of the Ocala Cake Club in good standing 2) Must have basic decorating skills 3) A passion to pursue their knowledge of decorating 4) Must have an overall love and passion for cake, life and laughter.
For those that had the pleasure of knowing Shelley Roberts, they knew a beautiful, vibrant woman who had a love of life in its truest form. Shelley always had a smile for everyone, whether she knew them or not; and if you didn’t know her by the end of your meeting you were her friend. Shelley was always making a cake for someone and to that end was always looking to expand her talents. The Shelley Roberts Award will be awarded to a person who exudes friendship, creativity and much like Shelley the desire to continue to grow as a cake decorator. The inaugural winner will receive an amazing 10 week long mentoring package from renowned cake artist, Marivi Bassabe!
All nominations should be sent to TheShelleyAward@gmail.com for consideration. The award will be presented at the end of the Florida Iced Cake Competition on April 01, 2012. The awards program will start at approximately 3:30 pm and will conclude with the presentation of this amazing award honoring a truly amazing person, that will be forever in our hearts, Shelley Roberts.
